For anyone who travels to Iran the custom of bringing “soghati”  is a long hard expensive process.  Usually when family and friends come to visit you in Iran, you thank them by giving them a souvenir from the United States.  The traveler tries to get something for everyone and has to be mindful of the suitcase weight, though it is not uncommon for travelers to pay penalties to take their soghati.

Clarks, Nike, and Sketchers are always a big hit when gifting in Iran.  Often one of the harder items to take due to size and weight this is a gift often given to your favorite loved ones. You can find these brand in Iran however they are either imitations and poor quality or extremely expensive.
